A big yes to believing in your work and waiting for the right time to release it!! The Fifth Season is my go-to fantasy rec and I will shout about how much I love it until I am blue in the face. Literal perfection.
It's hard when you want to introduce yourself as something but have nothing to show for it! Just waiting for the pay off in a professional sense, all good things come with time. Absolutely adore Fifth Season, love that you're a fan!

Yup yup yup, it was so rich and deep and layered like THE LAYERS OF THE EARTH omg it's all a metaphor. But seriously, that was the last real major fantasy book I read because how do you stand a chance against something that is so mature and creative?
